How we work
We find the balance between the home you want and what is safe, compliant and approvable, then manage it all the way to handover.
Brief and site visit
We meet on site, listen to what you want to build, and look at the block, budget and timing together.
You receive A clear brief and recommended approval pathway
Design and 3D render
We draw up the plans and model them in 3D, refining with you until the design feels right and stays compliant.

Council or certifier approval
We prepare the approval package, lodge your DA or CDC, and handle every request until it is approved.
You receive Development consent or a CDC
Steel structure drawings
We detail the heavy and light gauge steel structure, ready for engineering review and fabrication.
You receive Complete structural steel drawings
Engineering certification
A registered structural engineer reviews and certifies the steel design before anything is fabricated.

Common questions.
What’s the difference between a DA and a CDC?
A Development Application (DA) is assessed by council against local planning controls and can take a number of months. A Complying Development Certificate (CDC) is a faster, code-based approval issued by a council or private certifier when a project meets set standards. We’ll tell you early which pathway suits your project.
Do I need plans before I contact you?
No. Many clients come to us with an idea and a block of land. If you do have sketches, plans, a survey or photos, attach them to your enquiry and we can give you more useful advice from the first conversation.
Why build with steel framing?
Steel frames are termite proof, non-combustible and dimensionally stable. They are fabricated off-site from certified drawings, which means fewer surprises on site and faster frame installation.
Can you take over a project that’s already started?
Yes. We can step in at any stage, whether you have approval and need structural drawings, or have drawings and need the build managed.
Which areas do you work in?
We’re based in Wollongong and work across the Illawarra, Southern Highlands, Shoalhaven and southern Sydney. Get in touch if you’re further afield.
Tell us what you’d like to build.
Send a few details and any plans or photos you have. We’ll come back with honest advice on design, approvals and the next step.
